FIRST POSSE MEETING OF THE SEMESTER

Helloooooooo everybody in the planetary science world!

This is it. It's time. Time to party.

And by party I mean have a POSSE meeting and talk about Mars, research, robots, and astronauts. WEEEE!

We will have Dr. Mark Helper giving his talk on “Robotic Mapping and Human Field Studies at Haughton Impact Crater, Canada”. Here's the link to awesomeness. His research is pretty amazing, ranging from working at NASA Ames to training astronauts in New Mexico. Also, for your refreshment and eating pleasure, we will provide beverages and Don Juan tacos from Juan in a Million. Hope to see you all there!

Hey, this sounds really cool! I don't know how I missed this group before, but sadly I will have to miss it again for a 4-7 class =(

Planetary Organization for Space Science and Exploration (POSSE) is a student run organization that plans to bring external and internal space science researchers to the forefront of our UT community by allowing them an outlet for their research in the form of lectures. We also plan on being a funnel for information regarding research and educational opportunities for students and to help further space science research at the University of Texas. We are open to any UT affiliated individual/student that is interested in research in the space sciences. We are also planning fun social events such as joining in on star parties and doing field trips to the McDonald Observatory, NASA facilities, and possibly other locales.
